Work description Chest of drawers @mini.huisjenr32

The measurements for this dresser are for a 1:12 dollhouse. I made this with Balsa wood of 3 mm thick. If you want to work with thicker balsa wood, you will have to adjust the size of the top (see work description)

Shopping list:

1 x balsa wood set 3 (3 mm thick 10 x 20 cm per plank. set 3 consists of 2 planks)

1 x balsa wood set 4 - basic set (1mm, 2mm & 3mm thick 10x 20 cm per plank. Set 4 consists of 3 planks of 3 different thicknesses.)

mat, knife and ruler (metal) & wood glue. Possibly paint of your choice and brushes.

Dimensions
Sides:
Cut out 2 times 8x5 cm
Front and back:
Cut out 2 times 8x10 cm
Top:
Cut out 1 time 5.6x10cm (the 0.6 mm is therefore 2 times the thickness of 3 mm. If you work with, for example, balsa of 4 mm, you get 5.8. And if you work with balsa of 5 mm thick, you get 6 .0cm)
Drawers:
Cut out 1.5x10cm 3 times

To create the legs you will need to cut out a piece of balsa from the sides and front and back
Sides:
You cut out a piece of 1x2cm in the middle of the bottom.
Measure 1 cm from the left, and measure 1 cm from the right. Make a mark and go up 1 cm from here. There is now 2 cm in between and you cut this piece out.

Front and back:
You cut out a piece of 1x8cm in the middle of the bottom.
Measure 1 cm from the left, and measure 1 cm from the right. Make a mark and go up 1 cm from here. There is now 8 cm in between and you cut this piece out.

Assembling:
Place the back straight in front of you. Glue the sides to this using wood glue, tacky glue or super glue. Make sure it is at a nice 90 degree angle. Wait until this dries, possibly with support so that the corner is nice and straight. When this is dry, glue the front onto it. Once everything is nice and straight, you can glue the top on top. Finally, glue the 3 drawers on the front.

Do you also want a wall shelf?

Cut out 1.5x10cm twice. Glue one piece straight to the other and dress the whole thing up nicely with all the accessories.
